Thank you to all poets who sent poems
for the ‘War and Peace’ First World War commemorations. These will go up on display at Bournemouth Library from this Monday 4th August to coincide with the 100 year anniversary of British involvement in the war.
As an extension to the project – in order to keep the poems on display for posterity – it would be great to collect them in a printed booklet. This publication will be a one-off and all copyright will remain with the individual authors. I’ll keep you updated with the progress.
It’s also possible for the poems to be displayed at Boscombe Carnival on Sunday 10th August.
If you do not wish your ‘War and Peace’ WW1 Commemoration poem to be included in the accompanying booklet, or displayed at Boscombe Carnival, please let me know by email. firstname.lastname@example.org
Meanwhile I hope you like the display in the library. Make sure to check out the WW1 Poetry and Knitting, and The Unfolding War exhibitions there too.
All the best – James
